Food that reduce hair fall

 Introduction 


         Good hair not only adds an aesthetic appeal to the body but also boosts confidence. High stress, bad food and cosmetics are the causes of hair falls even among teenagers. The suffering from hair falls and hair thinning occurs when insufficient nutrition is taken. It can be prevented by adding these 5 foods to the diet.

1.Carrots


        There is a strong connection between the deficiency of vitamin A and hair breakage. In carrots there is vitamin A. Along with vitamin A, it has a major amount of biotin which is very good for accelerating keratin, which is a protein by which hair is made. Carrots are natural DHT blocker food. Science confirms that DHT is one of the major causes of hair fall in men. The hair cosmetic industry is depending on Biotin and DHT blocking pills, which are present in carrots. 

        Applying carrot oil on the scalp activates a greater number of hair follicles as compared to 1% minoxidil nutrients like vitamin E, C and K, along with antioxidants that prevent aging of hair. Carrots can be consumed in the form of sabji, soup or vegetable pulao. Consuming raw carrot salad before lunch or dinner would be the best consuming way. 



2. Curry Leaves


         Ayurvedic scripture and also modern science suggest that consuming curry leaves makes hair healthier and reduces the breakage of hair. Curry leaves contain vitamin B and anti-oxidants which make a contribution to cellular regeneration and promote the healthy circulation of blood vessels in the scalp. Thus, curry leaves prevent hair fall and hair thinning. Curry leaves contain amino acids that strengthen hair fiber. A survey has shown that people living in the southern part of India have fewer hair problems as consumption of curry leaves is more in those areas. It can be consumed in raw form or in powdered form or in food dishes. 



3. Buttermilk


             Buttermilk milk or well churned yogurt mixed with a double amount of water and spiced appropriately is a hair elixir. According to Ayurveda, the root of the hair fall lies in the stomach. If there is a problem of indigestion, the body won't be able to absorb the vital nutrients from the food and, as a result, its hair gets weaker and eventually falls. Buttermilk contains probiotics and lactic acid which help in the digestion system, and it easily absorbs vital nutrients from consumed food. It also reduces body heat, which is another cause of hair falls. Buttermilk acts as an excellent shampoo and conditioner.



 4. Amla


            Amla is a traditional medicine to promote hair and scalp health. Nowadays, every hair product, like shampoo, conditioner and hair oil contains Amla in them. Amla is rich in antioxidants, so when it is consumed as food daily, it acts as a powerful hair regenerator, stimulates hair follicles and strengthens the roots. A study has shown that Amla is among the top DHT blocking food. It can be consumed in the form of Amla juice for 30 minutes before breakfast. Amla candy and Amla Murabba are two healthy snack options. 



5. Almonds 


               Almonds are the best food source of biotin. The application of almond oil to the scalp increases the hair growth. Almond contains special fatty acids like oleic acid and linoleic acid, which are DHT blockers. Almond contains vitamin E, which is another hair fall reducing nutrient.

 It can be consumed as.... 

I. Soak the almond in water and peel off the skin of the almond and chew until it becomes liquid in the mouth. 

ii. Ine teaspoon of sweet almond oil in a glass of milk before going to sleep at night. 

iii. One tablespoon of unsweetened almond butter.
